Business Park Camberley Attracts Another Major Occupier

Meadows Business Park
Camberley has attracted another major occupier with the letting of the top two
floors of offices at River View, the last remaining building on the business
park. Kendle International Ltd have taken the space which totals over 26,000 sq
ft (2415 sq m) of offices plus over 4000 sq ft of storage accommodation within
the roof area on lease terms for ten years without a break.
Kendle will occupy the third floor immediately and will
occupy the second floor by no later than December 2009. The rent agreed is
£21 per sq and £22 per sq ft respectively.
Meadows Business Park was developed by Scottish Widows
Investment Partnership and comprises four office buildings totalling 140,000 sq
ft. Other tenants on the park include Initial City Link, The British Cement
Association and Safenet amongst others. Commenting on the deal, Peter Richards
Partner of Hurst Warne & Partners LLP, the joint letting agent for Scottish
Widows says:
Kendle International were looking to rationalise
their existing property portfolio which is based in a number of buildings
within the Crowthorne and Maidenhead area. They were attracted to River View
Meadows Business Park because of the high quality of offices provided, stunning
location and excellent communications for their staff working at the Crowthorne
and Maidenhead offices. By offering competitive terms to nearby M4 locations we
have successfully attracted a number of occupiers to Meadows Business Park from
the M4 region.
Once Kendle International had approval to proceed with
negotiations, terms were agreed and a lease was signed within 2 weeks. This was
an outstanding achievement for all parties concerned. Kendle have a very strict
time scale in which to occupy the buildings and the landlord was keen to work
most diligently to achieve their objective of occupying the property as soon as
possible.

LaSalle and the agents acting for Kendle International were Philip Marsh
Collins Deung.
The last remaining space now available at the Meadows
Business Park is 25,782 sq ft (2,395 sq m) at River View being available in
floors from 12,617 sq ft (1,172 sq m) and a small suite of 3,218 sq ft (298 sq
m) in River Court. Quoting rents are £23 per sq ft exclusive.
